Project History

1987-1993: The E-Bike

The E-Bike is a motorcycle with electrical propulsion. It is beeing used as everyday transportation vehicle since 1989. The know how gained with the engineering and construction of the E-Bike forms a base for the current hybrid electric motorcycle project.

1993-1995: Project develoment, marketing study, supported by BEW (Swiss federal office for energy economics)

Based on the electrical-only motorcycle E-Bike, the project of a hybrid version was developed, at that time under the name "HyBike". The project got support from the BEW (Bundesamt für Energiewirtschaft, Swiss federal office for energy economics).

Starting 1995: Professional phase with larger team, "Synthesis"

The marketing study, supported by the BEW, showed opportuities of the project. As a cooperation of a professional team, a truly innovative and unique vehicle will be developed. To archieve this goal, the existing team was extended to include skills for project management, PR and design for the new company named "Synthesis".
